Curtis Bashaw and Wally Barr = The Tropicana?

According to our sources, Curtis Bashaw and Wally Barr are interested in purchasing the Tropicana Resort and Casino. They say that it would be great to have a pre-existing casino in town while they continue with the plans for the boutique casino down the boardwalk. Analysts say that the Trop will probably sell between 800MM to 1B, and most think that a few hundred million dollars will also be poured into renovations.

Revel Details

Some details about Revel Entertainment's new resort casino have been released. Word has gotten around that Revel will build both 700 foot + 2,000 room towers simultaneously. This is good news, becuase this means that the resort will now have 4,000 rooms as soon as it opens. Also, it has been said that there will be 19 gourmet restaurants by world renound chefs, and a veriety of more moderatley priced food venues. Also, 2 nightclubs and a few dance clubs will be thrown into the mix. Also, Revel Beach, and outdoor club area will feature restaurants, stores and resort-style amenities. Revel is planned to be opening in fall 2010.

Revel Under-Construction!

Revel Casino is finally under construction after receiving its last mandatory permits to start building. As of late November, they are beginning to move dirt around and may be driving piles into the ground. Vertical construction should start within a few months.

Harrahs Expansion Tops Off

The New Tower at Harrah's topped off today. There will still be construction, but the tower will open the 900 room tower by June. The owners say that they have room for one more tower!

Tao Nightclub- Atlantic City?

While browisng through the Arquitectonica Hospitality area of their website, details of the Revel resort arose, including the addition of a 3 story super nightclub, none other than the Las Vegas and New York Import, Tao. The top level of the Nightclub will let out to a pool deck with an ocean view, similar to an oceanfront Tao Beach in Vegas.
